On Screenwriting

Much as most writers want to give screenwriting a stab, most of them are unprepared for the second step along their chosen career-path. Unlike other writing genres, a script, as some say, is a path towards a definite destination which in this case, is a produced film. It's therefore important to weigh the probability of making it all the way and whether you have the perseverance and patience that will see you past the hurdles you have to by-pass in the writing process and after that the harder part which is selling a script. In addition to that, you must be willing to add onto whatever screenwriting knowledge you have by networking with other writers but most important, you have to practise screenwriting everyday and read many, many scripts so you can have a firm grasp on the style and dynamics but while it isn't easy, never despair. Keep writing!
